Tooth-Colored Fillings in Folsom
White fillings, also called tooth-colored or composite fillings, are an ideal choice for people who don’t want it to appear obvious that they have had cavities filled. With traditional metal fillings, often times extra tooth structure is removed in order to provide the material with strength and durability. Composite fillings are a much more conservative option, allowing the dentist to remove only the cavity itself. The fillings are then bonded, or glued, in place. In our office, Dr. Borrowdale only places composite fillings.
Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is an effective and budget-friendly way to disguise minor teeth imperfections. A patient will choose bonding when they want a single-visit, less-expensive option than porcelain veneers. Often times, dental anesthesia is not required for bonding.
Bonding is an excellent solution for the following types of dental issues:
- A chip or crack on one or more teeth
- Gums that have severely recessed
- Crooked or misaligned teeth
- A large gap between two of your teeth.
